Sunshine After the Storm: A Survival Guide for the Grieving Mother (Alexa Bigwarfe, contributing editor) is a compilation of the stories of many women who have weathered the storm of pregnancy, infant, or child loss, as well as a few men who tell their stories, too (including my husband Eric!). Foreword by Sherokee Ilse of Babies Remembered. My contributions are "Faith and Loss: Finding Your Way Back" in Chapter 5, and "Naomi's Circle" in Chapter 11. Eric Bothur's contribution is "Dads Think Differently" in Chapter 7. Available on Amazon.
One in Heaven is written for four-to-eight-year-olds and is designed to help parents talk with their children about their siblings who were born to Heaven instead of Earth. Six-year-old Lily remembers "some" about her sister Sarah, who was stillborn four years earlier. One in Heaven describes how her family keeps the memory of her baby sister alive and how her thinking about Sarah gradually changes as a result. Publication date TBA, but you can keep up with news about this, as well as resources for parents, at http://oneinheaven.weebly.com/index.html.
